Magnetic hotplate stirrer (DMS5), programmable benchtop instrument with a Ø135 mm ceramic-coated aluminum work plate, heating up to 340°C, and stirring capacity up to 20 L. Three selectable heating modes (fast, standard, stable); programmable timer (1 min–99 h 59 min) with automatic shutdown and independent heating/stirring control. Safety: dual independent over-temperature circuits, “HOT” warning >50°C after power-off, safety lock, and IP42 protection. The DMS5‑340M variant adds a high-temperature-resistant strong magnet for extra torque with viscous liquids (e.g., 50% glycerol, concentrated cell lysates, dissolved polymers). Ideal for high-viscosity sample mixing, strong acid digestions, culture media preparation, trace metal analysis, enzyme assays, dissolution testing, and chemical synthesis.
