Root Canal Filling

 Gutta Percha Points are cone-shaped, thermoplastic filling materials used as the core component for permanently obturating (filling) root canals after endodontic therapy. Composed of gutta-percha polymer, zinc oxide, and radiopacifiers, they provide a biocompatible, stable, and adaptable fill when used with a sealer. Available in standardized sizes and tapers to match prepared canals, they are employed in cold lateral or warm vertical compaction techniques to achieve a three-dimensional seal that prevents bacterial re-infection. Their correct selection and placement are critical to the long-term success of root canal treatment.
