Ankle Walkers (Fixed/Air) are rigid, boot-like orthotic devices designed to immobilize the foot and ankle. Serving as a modern alternative to short leg casts, they are used for treating stable fractures, severe sprains, post-operative conditions, and for offloading diabetic foot ulcers. The "Fixed" type uses foam padding, while the "Air" type incorporates adjustable air bladders for a custom fit and superior swelling management. Both types feature a rocker-bottom sole to facilitate walking and multiple straps for secure immobilization.
